Samsung releases 2GB MMCMicro

Samsung has released its smallest, fastest, and biggest-capacity memory card to date. It is a 2GB MMC Micro which serves as an alternative to MicroSD Cards.

Read Speed: 7.4MB/s

Write Speed: 7.1MB/s

No shipping date has been announced so far.

Personally, seeing the development of Flash memory cards makes the iPod seem less impressive. The trend would start to shift to using MP3 players and cellphones with external card slots for expandability. But that's just me, I guess.

I got this tech news item here.

When these babies go down in price and up in capacity, Bill Gates' prediction will come true. Optical media will die.
